Finding Your Silver Lining
Navigating the storms of life can be overwhelming.
It can leave you feeling frightened, alone, lost and unable to cope.
Oftentimes we only realise we need support when we find ourselves stuck in the storm and cannot possibly think of a way out of it.
Therapy offers a shelter you can take refuge in from time to time. It provides you with a safe space to check in with yourself and become more familiar with your strengths, vulnerabilities and other factors that may be impacting your wellbeing. From this place you can gain more clarity around your life situation, and become better equipped at coping with difficulties.
The best part is that you won't be doing all of this alone. You will be guided throughout this process by a warranted psychotherapist, committed towards offering presence and validation without judgement.
About Me
Deborah Farrugia
M.Psy (Gestalt) Warrant Number: PPBM 298
Professionally, I hold a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with Honours. I have obtained my Masters in Gestalt Psychotherapy with the Gestalt Psychotherapy Institute Malta, (GPTIM). I am a registered member of the Malta Association of Psychotherapy (MAP).
I am trained in the Gestalt approach, which involves guiding my clients towards increased self-awareness in the here and now, by helping them get in touch with their thoughts, emotions, sensations and the way they relate with the world.
I have also pursued further training in DBT skills and EMDR. This way I am able to integrate different modalities into my practise according to the specific needs of individual clients.
Psychotherapy is not just a career to me but also my passion. I am on an ongoing journey of learning and accumulating experience alongside personal growth and well being. I take interest in different subjects that promote overcoming adversity and reaching one's full potential.
On a more personal note, in my free time I find pleasure in gardening, cooking, being in nature, meditation and spending quality time with my loved ones.
